Zygoma implants
In cases where the amount of available bone in the upper jaw is insufficient, extra long implants can be anchored in the cheekbone.
These implants are called Zygoma and are a good alternative to bone building procedures in the upper jaw which are often very time and resource consuming. The traditional method of building a jawbone with a bone graft extends the healing time from 6-9 months.
The procedure for inserting Zygoma implants is usually performed under general anesthesia. As with the conventional All-on-4 technique, new teeth can be mounted on the implants on the same day as the operation.
